View-Dependent Progressive Transmission Method for 3D Building Models

چکیده
Complex 3D building models, because of their huge data volume, almost always result in transmission congestion, which leads to poor user experience. To reduce the real-time pressure, a novel view-dependent progressive method was developed. With this method, only small amount transmitted is necessary achieve an acceptable rendering effect when viewpoint changes. The involves two stages. A preprocessing stage simplifies model using multi-level vertex clustering algorithm. local mesh each unit organized into node tree where includes and its related triangles. finally reorganized forest. In reconstruction stage, all root nodes are first build basic model. Their descendant then requested according information refine during interaction. experimental results show that can effectively improve efficiency models.
